Trump confirms he will appear in court in New York City on Tuesday following his indictment

Former President Donald Trump confirmed he will fly to New York on Monday, one day ahead of his unprecedented criminal arraignment — as the NYPD is already setting up a huge ring of steel ahead of protests.

“I will be leaving Mar-a-Lago on Monday at 12 noon, heading to Trump Tower in New York,” Trump, 76, confirmed on Truth Social late Sunday of his flight from his Florida resort to his Fifth Avenue pad.

“On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!” he complained.

The ex-president — who is running again for 2024 — detailed his travel plans just 15 minutes after again attacking Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for the charges over the $130,000 hush-money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

“The Corrupt D.A. has no case,” Trump wrote of the charges, expected to be in the dozens, with at least one felony.

“What he does have is a venue where it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a Fair Trial (it must be changed!), and a Trump Hating Judge, hand selected by the Soros backed D.A. (he must be changed!),” he wrote after long claiming the case against him is a “witch hunt.”

“Also has the DOJ working in the D.A.’s Office – Unprecedented!”

In his final message of the night, Trump wrote: “ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!”

Trump is expected to report Tuesday morning to the courthouse, where he will be fingerprinted and have a mugshot taken, like anyone else facing charges.

Once the booking is complete, Trump will appear before a judge for an afternoon arraignment.

His attorney in the case, Joe Tacopina, has said the 45th commander-in-chief will not be handcuffed, but predicted that Bragg’s team will “try to make sure they get some joy out of this by parading him” in a perp walk and leaking the mugshot.

But Tacopina said that most of what will happen remains “up in the air” — other than “the fact that we will very loudly and proudly say, ‘Not guilty.’”

“Obviously, this is different. This has never happened before. I have never had Secret Service involved in an arraignment before at 100 Centre Street,” he said on CNN’s “State of the Union,” using the courthouse’s street address.

“Hopefully this will be as painless and classy as possible for a situation like this.”

Officials from the Secret Service and NYPD toured the courthouse and met about security plans on Friday.

Officers have been out in force putting up metal barriers around Trump Tower ahead of the ex-prez’s arrival Monday as well as making preparations around the court complex.

A court official said courtrooms on higher floors of the building will be closed at 1 p.m., shortly before Trump’s expected 2:15 p.m. arraignment. Roads will also be blocked off.

Bragg and the grand jury that decided to press the charges have already faced online execution threats, according to Site Intelligence Group, which monitors online extremism.

Protests are also being widely advertised, including one at noon Tuesday by the New York Republican Club for which firebrand US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) says she will fly in.

“Protesting is a constitutional right and I am going to NY on Tuesday to protest this unprecedented abuse of our justice system and election interference,” she tweeted Sunday.

After telling supporters to “have your MAGA hats ready,” she also predicted agitators may infiltrate the protest to incite violence and damage their peaceful protest.

“You are not one of us, you are one of them,” she wrote of “anyone who dresses in MAGA but incites violence or commits violence while pretending to be one of us.”

“We will not live in fear and we will lawfully stand against tyranny and corruption while we show our support for President Trump,” she wrote, sharing banners saying it is “not a prosecution” but “a persecution.”

“They’re not coming after President Trump, they’re coming after us, he’s just in their way,” she also said.

Trump has already said he will quickly return to Florida and deliver remarks at an event in Mar-a-Lago hours after his arraignment.

Trump is facing multiple charges of falsifying business records over the payments to Daniels, which were allegedly to help hide the damage of her claims of a one-night stand and help him win the 2016 election.

Trump has denied having sex with the porn star or any wrongdoing in a payout, blaming it all on his former fixer, Michael Cohen, who served prison time over it.

Cohen told CBS News that despite Trump’s bravado, his ex-boss is likely “petrified.”

“This is his worst fear: being mugshotted, fingerprinted, being referred to as a felon,” he said while predicting “complete and total mayhem” at the proceedings.
